Regional Interdependence in Missouri
The Saint Louis and Kansas City metropolitan areas account for over half of Missouri’s economic output. Accordingly, the state’s economic performance is largely determined by the successes or struggles of the two metro areas. But can growth in Missouri’s outstate areas be predicted by metro area growth as well?
