Testimony Regarding the Use of City Funds for Professional Sports Stadiums

When considering whether the city of Saint Louis should publicly finance the construction and operation of a new professional sports stadium, policymakers should note that the consensus among economists is clear: Sports stadiums do not generate significant economic growth or urban regeneration.
