Common Sense Flourishes in the Missouri Senate

Whatever the benefits of physical exercise, the state doesn’t need to mandate 30 minutes of it per day for public elementary schools, as the Senate sensibly decided today. If that policy would actually have improved student achievement — as the bill’s sponsor suggested — districts will figure it out on their own.
