LaVanna Wrobley joined Show-Me Opportunity in 2024. Throughout her career, she has overseen major projects, advanced community engagement initiatives, and cultivated partnerships with stakeholders and supporters.
LaVanna helped support the opening of North Side Community School, a free charter public school with open enrollment for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. For over 10 years, she worked with BJC’s Wings, a pediatric hospice and palliative care program that works to create memories, celebrate life, and bring comfort to hospice patients and families impacted by life-limiting illnesses. With LaVanna’s help and support, Wings is now funded by a permanent endowment program at BJC.
She is currently the vice president of the board at the Children’s Education Alliance for Missouri and a member of the leadership team of The Garden Club of America. She has served as a trustee and board member of the Service Bureau Foundation, as a board member for the University City Children’s Center, and on several other school boards and parents’ associations.
LaVanna holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
