Check out this article in the Kansas City Star, and these comments over at Toellner Tells It, about the recent privatization of the Kansas City animal shelter. I don’t have much to add, here; I agree with everything Toellner says. I got our family dog at a nonprofit animal shelter here in St. Louis, so it was great to read what an early success this move has been for the taxpayers and animals in KC.
