Intergenerational Poverty in Missouri - Springfield Policy Lunch

Intergenerational Poverty
Event Details:

Since the recession ended about a decade ago, poverty has declined in Missouri, but we still have areas of the state where poverty is prevalent.

How can children growing up in these parts of Missouri realize the American dream of moving from poverty to prosperity?

This presentation takes a look at poverty that is passed from one generation to the next in Missouri and examines some of the market-based solutions that can help Missouri's impoverished residents change their lives for the better.
